It was assumed that people don’t scroll? It is nothing but one of the UX myths. The reality is users prefer to scroll through a long page than to click through new pages. The scrolling designs load faster on mobile devices as well as dislike having to “click” on a small screen with their fingers.
Arbitrary Grid-Based Layouts
Grid-based layouts have become popular on every platform like Windows phone, social networking sites and in some mobile apps, too. It can be a great option but not every website needs a content grid. It will be nice if you use some parts of a grid based layout.
Complex designs
Web Designs featuring slideshows, image carousels, colorful fonts, etc. are fading out and simple design falls in. All around the globe webmasters, using the minimalist approach to simplify interfaces. Hence improving visual interest of the user. How long this minimalist design trend last? Only time will tell.
Simple fonts and typography.
No doubt, simple designs are in trend everywhere, but this can’t be said about the typography. The font selection is the most important element to attract users on your website. Oversize and bold typography are in trend right now, and for some may be a better design solution.
Multiple pages.
For SEO purposes, it is worthless if your site contains an endless number of pages. Also, Search engines emphasis on page relevance when it comes to rankings, and many archived pages are outdated. Therefore single page websites are becoming a new trend.
The use of cheap stock photos.
It’s time to stop accessing images from “free stock photo” directories. In order to give your audience some real check, you must use authentic, high-quality images that tell the story of your business.
